About us
Cultura Torrevieja is a project promoted by the Municipal Institute of Culture Joaquín Chapaprieta. As stated in its statutes, this organization seeks the promotion and cultural development of the city of Torrevieja. Through its programming, education and publications areas, it manages a cultural life in the city. The company in charge of carrying out this management project is UTE TCA TORREVIEJA, with the support of the Torrevieja City Council.
Enhancing the value of culture
Culture Torrevieja conceives culture as an essential factor for the development of cities. Culture is understood as a reflection of the values, identity, creativity and expressiveness of society. For this reason, we work for its enhancement, its presentation and communication through the media of its presentation.
Our mission is to make Torrevieja a cultural capital, offering cultural experiences in the Municipal Theater and the International Auditorium.
Cultural capital
Torrevieja as a cultural capital is our vision, identifying the city as a radiating nexus of local cultural promotion both for the citizens of Torrevieja and for those who visit us. This is pursued through a development and promotion of culture in Torrevieja involving all cultural sectors of the city from an inclusive, effective and sustainable management, open, effective, adaptable and sustainable management unit, all through the Municipal Institute of Culture “Joaquin Chapaprieta”.
