Trio of cultural aces this weekend in Torrevieja

Estrella Morente, Ángel Martín and the musical Sherlock Holmes take the stage of the Municipal Theater this weekend, with a proposal for all audiences.

The Municipal Theatre again occupy your weekend with a first class programming. Three incredible shows that will make the public torrevejense feel the flamenco, children’s excitement and humor in a weekend full of culture.

Today, Friday, at 7:00 p.m., the singer Estrella Morente will offer a masterful flamenco recital. Estrella Morente has all the necessary conditions to be one of the great figures of flamenco and Spanish song: a privileged voice, sense of rhythm, passion, the heritage of his elders and curiosity to explore and incorporate new nuances to his style, following in the footsteps of his father, who has inherited his natural gift for music. A guarantee for the followers of this genre with so many roots in the area, which has a long tradition of events organized by the Casa de Andalucía or as part of the Cante de las Minas contest.

The little ones will meet tomorrow Saturday, at 17:00 hours, in the stage room of the Municipal Theatre, where, along with Sherlock Holmes and the brilliant Watson we can enter a wonderful world of fantasy, magic and mystery. Sherlock Holmes, the most famous detective in history, comes to Torrevieja to solve a mystery. Through the help of the little ones, he will solve in the theater the riddles and puzzles that will be presented.

The public will access the classic world of mystery and fun through the most fun ways: with 3D projections, odor turbines, streamer cannons, fogs, … a display of technology that will make the young and old enjoy the adventures of the great Sherlock and his companion Watson.

Cultura Torrevieja closes the weekend with the great monologuist Ángel Martín, with his show “Punto para locos” which will take place on Sunday at 20:00 hours. Angel Martin will try to make you realize that the only thing that differentiates us is not whether or not you’re crazy, but at what volume are in your head the voice of shame, fear, anxiety, impatience … and try that, the next time one of those voices back, you can not help but make fun of it and put on the scoreboard another “point for the crazy”. A tour that in its journey gets sould out in every venue it visits, as evidenced by the full house that will have the Municipal Theatre of Torrevieja this coming Sunday.
