The cultural agenda of the city will be full in the coming days with great performances such as
the 36th International Choral Meeting “City of Torrevieja”, the show “Two Fools and I” and the 17th anniversary of the Orfeón de Torrevieja; accompanied by the cocktail dinners “Flamenco
y Sal” and “La Previa Gourmet” and the Miss Europe Fit Model 2024.


The II edition of Flamenco and Salt

After the success of the first edition last August, ‘Flamenco y Sal’, will offer another magical evening this coming Friday September 27 at 20:00 pm, in the gardens of the Auditorium of Torrevieja. The public can enjoy the beauty of the surroundings and the careful staging, and a flamenco show with a cocktail dinner at sunset.

Spanish culture and gastronomy will once again be the protagonists in this unique event that includes a reception in the grove area of the gardens, where the tasting dinner will be served with some of the most emblematic flavors of Mediterranean cuisine, and where the sunset will be enjoyed, with the Salinas de Torrevieja as a backdrop.

Then, the stage of Flamenco & Sal will be illuminated to offer a new flamenco show, ‘Flamenco de raíz’ by Noelia García’s company. The show will feature a corps de ballet made up of five artists, and live music. It will be a journey through the main flamenco palos to make the audience vibrate.

Double date for the Choral Encounter

The International Choral Meeting “City of Torrevieja”, in its 36th edition, promises to be an outstanding event in the musical panorama, organized by the Francisco Vallejos Choir. This meeting brings together choirs of recognized prestige, both national and international, which will present a varied selection of musical styles in the art of choral singing.

The Opening Gala will take place on Friday, September 27, at 8:30 p.m., with the participation of the Francisco Vallejos Choir, the Maestro Casanovas Choir and the chamber choir Serenata Cor de Cambra (Valencia).

On Saturday, September 28, also at 8:30 p.m., the Nox Choir from Madrid and the Evuah Ensembre Vocal from Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) will perform.

On Saturday, the activity will begin at 11:00 a.m., at the Municipal Theater, with the Choral Forum, where the choristers will meet to share working methods, experiences and repertoires, as well as the rehearsal of common singing. The Closing Gala will feature the performance of the habanera “La Paloma” by M. Iradier and arrangement by M. Massotti Littel.

As for the repertoire, the president of the Choir Francisco Vallejos has reported that the organization has asked the participating choirs to be varied, “but there will be no shortage of habaneras, sacred music, polyphony, folklore or modern music,” said José Miguel Ferrández.

The Gourmet Preview

With tickets completely sold out, next Saturday 28th at 7:30 pm, a unique and exclusive gastronomic experience will be enjoyed: “La Previa Gourmet”, an event designed for lovers of good humor and haute cuisine at the International Auditorium. Organized by Qtal Gourmet, this special evening will be the perfect prelude to the comedy show “Dos Tontos y Yo” (Two Fools and Me), which promises to make the evening an unforgettable memory.

“La Previa Gourmet” will be a cocktail dinner at a high table, with food and wine pairing. Attendees will have prior access to the Auditorium and will be able to enjoy exclusively a menu prepared with seasonal ingredients.

In addition, each course will be accompanied by a selection of wines and cocktails that perfectly complement the flavors of the dinner, ensuring a complete dining experience. Diners will have the opportunity to interact, share laughs and prepare for the big date night that begins next.

The Sense of Humor: Two Fools and Me

That same Saturday 28 but at 9:00 pm, Florentino Fernández, José Mota and Santiago Segura will take the stage together at the Auditorium to produce laughter for 90 minutes in an almost sold-out show. For the first time in history, three of the most prominent figures of Spanish humor and television appear in a single play.

Together and separately, in pairs and in trios, in any way to achieve a single goal: to make us reflect and laugh based on the most hilarious nonsense of the Spanish stage.

And the fact is that all three represent great figures in the world of show business. They have been making us laugh for decades through television, with their numerous programs such as El Informal, Cruz y Raya, La hora de José Mota, Dani & Flo, El show de Flo, Otra Movida, Tu Cara Me suena, or the Torrente films with which Santiago Segura marked a before and after in Spanish cinema.

Miss Europe Fit Model 2024

After the success of Miss Fit Model Spain 2023, Torrevieja is preparing to host the prestigious Miss Fit Model Europe 2024 event. On Sunday, September 29 at 11:00 am, the Municipal Theater will be the stage where the best athletes from Spain and Europe will compete in this outstanding event of the calendar of the International Federation of Fitness (IFBB).

The competition consists of two rounds: one comparative in swimsuit and the other in a long ball gown, where styling and presence will be decisive in impressing the judges. The athlete who achieves the best score in both rounds will win the title of Miss Fit Model Europe 2024, as well as qualifying directly for the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Europe in Madrid, to be held two weeks later.

Organized by the Spanish Fitness Federation (FEFF) and the Golden Gym of Torrevieja, the event is supported by the Department of Sports of the City of Torrevieja.

Admission will be free, but there will be a solidarity collection in favor of the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer’s patients (AFA Torrevieja).


17th Anniversary of the Orfeón of Torrevieja

On the same Sunday 29 but at 8:30 pm, the Orfeón de Torrevieja will pay tribute to the great conductor Mario Bustillos with an emotional concert celebrating his legacy and the remarkable trajectory of the orfeón.

During this special evening at the city’s Municipal Theater, a careful selection of outstanding pieces will be performed, reflecting the dedication and passion for choral music, characteristics that have defined both the honoree and the group.

This event promises to be a moving celebration of music and also a tribute to Bustillos’ impact on the choral world. Tickets can still be purchased at the Theater’s box office and through the website of www.culturatorrevieja.com for only 7€.
