This weekend there will be science, a tribute to The Beatles and the humor of Juan Amodeo in Torrevieja.

  • Eureka! Music and Science will be presented on Friday 3 at the Municipal Theater. A sold-out event full of scientific research, humor and live music with Javier Santaolalla.
  • The Flaming Shakers: the best European tribute to The Beatles also arrives on Friday 3 in our city, reliving the magic of The Fab Four at the International Auditorium.
  • Juan Amodeo will present his monologue “013 Origen” on Sunday, October 5, a fresh and unfiltered comedy show with one of the most followed comedians of the moment in social networks.
  • In addition, this week will also be held the Gala of the International Day of Older Persons in the Municipal Theatre and the feast of the Holy Guardian Angels, the Local Police of Torrevieja, in the International Auditorium.

EUREKA: MUSIC AND SCIENCE

On Friday October 3 at 19:30 pm “Eureka! Music and Science” is presented at the Municipal Theatre of Torrevieja. Eureka is a show that combines popular science, entertainment and live music; for which the public has responded massively and all invitations for this event have been sold out.

It will be attended by Javier Santaolalla, PhD in particle physics and a reference in science communication, who will guide attendees on a journey from the origin of the universe to the most current quantum physics.

The evening will also feature the intervention of Félix Arias, professor of Journalism at the UMH, who will analyze how artificial intelligence is transforming journalism and its possibilities for innovation. The presentation will be given by Santi García Cremades, who with his particular style will combine mathematics, humor and music.

The success of the event confirms the public’s interest in proposals that unite science and culture in a close, entertaining and different format.


THE FLAMING SHAKERS: TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES

Recognized as one of the best European tributes to the legendary Liverpool band, The Flaming Shakers lands at the International Auditorium of Torrevieja on Friday October 3 at 21:00. The set will transport the viewer to the 60s with a thorough recreation in both sound and aesthetics. JUAN AMODEO: 013 ORIGIN

The humorist from Seville known on social networks as @amodeo13 returns with a show titled “013 Origen”, which will be presented at the Municipal Theater on Sunday, October 5 at 7:00 pm. In the show, the comedian reflects with his characteristic style on everyday life, the contradictions of our society and small anecdotes that connect with the audience immediately.

Juan Amodeo has established himself as one of the most followed comedians in Spain (he has more than one million followers in social networks) thanks to his presence in social networks and his ability to fill theaters throughout the country.

In “013 Origen” he proposes a journey through his particular way of understanding the world. His monologues combine quick humor, improvisation and closeness with the audience, achieving an agile and energetic show. The result is an experience in which laughter becomes the common thread of an unforgettable night.

After selling out in cities like Madrid, Barcelona and Seville, Amodeo arrives in Torrevieja to confirm why it has become a benchmark of contemporary comedy. His proposal is an invitation to disconnect from the routine and share an evening where humor becomes a universal language.


TWO SPECIAL GALAS

On Wednesday October 01 will be held the International Day of Older Persons Gala at the Municipal Theatre, an evening dedicated to celebrate the talent, creativity and active role of older people in the cultural life of Torrevieja.

Organized by the Department of Senior Citizens of the City Council, the event has already sold out. It will include the awards ceremony of the Photography Contest, as well as artistic performances, recognitions and emotional moments that will value the contribution of the elderly to society.

The next day, Thursday, October 2, Torrevieja will celebrate the feast of the Holy Guardian Angels, patron saints of the Local Police, where after a religious ceremony in the Parish of the Immaculate Conception, will be held in the International Auditorium the official ceremony of recognition and merit to nearly 200 agents of the Local Police of Torrevieja.

Among the highlights of this event, the Gold Shield will be awarded to the Local Civil Protection Group, and tribute will be paid to the agents who complete 20, 25 and 35 years of service, as well as those who have retired in the last year.
