Nacho Duato Dance Company

On Friday, October 17 at 20:30 pm, the Municipal Theater of Torrevieja hosts the presentation of the Nacho Duato Dance Company, a group of dancers that preserves and disseminates the legacy of one of the most influential Spanish choreographers internationally. Tickets for the event are already sold out.

This new company, made up of young dancers of excellence from different countries, aims to transmit to new generations the choreographic richness of Nacho Duato, who returns to Spain with the firm commitment to share his art and his teaching.

Nacho Duato, Spanish choreographer and dancer, began his professional career at the Netherlands Dance Theatre and the Cullberg Ballet, working with figures such as Maurice Béjart, Alvin Ailey and Jiri Kylian. After years of international success, he became Artistic Director of the National Dance Company in Madrid (1990), where he developed his reputation.

The public will have the opportunity to enjoy a repertoire where the musicality, lyricism and physicality characteristic of Duato’s works merge in a deeply human scenic language.

Borja Niso: Ludovico Musical Experience

On Saturday, October 18 at 20:00 hours, the Municipal Theater of Torrevieja receives the show Ludovico Musical Experience, considered the best tribute to Ludovico Einaudi in Spain, which has impacted and excited more than 90,000 spectators in its first three seasons.

With striking scenography and new themes and projections, pianist Borja Niso shares his life story in a theatrical and innovative format that combines live piano music, interpretation, dance, voice and a synchronized projection for 120 minutes.

On stage, different symbolic characters interact – the soul (Cristina Gatell), the spirit (María Montes) and the inner voice (Beatriz Villar) – representing the psyche of the artist, creating a unique, intimate and magical atmosphere.

The musical program includes a total of 18 works carefully selected from the repertoires of Ludovico Einaudi and Borja Niso himself, divided into three blocks.

This show is suitable for all audiences (from 5/6 years old) and is created with the aim of making the audience vibrate from the seat, feel the music in a magical way and, above all, demonstrate the true power of dreams and help the audience to discover their true purpose.

UMT: Autumn winds

The Musical Union Torrevejense (UMT) presents its traditional concert “Winds of Autumn” on Sunday October 19 at 12:00 pm at the Municipal Theatre of Torrevieja, in order to welcome the new season with the best original music for wind orchestra.

The group, which has established itself as a historical cultural reference in Torrevieja with an outstanding career, will perform a varied and select program that will include music by internationally renowned composers such as Jan van der Roost, Philip Sparke and Eric Whitacre.

The concert will also feature the special participation of torrevejense percussionist Marcos Sánchez Paredes, who will perform as a soloist. Paredes will perform the “Concertino for Marimba and Winds” by the American composer Alfred Reed, adding a distinctive touch to the repertoire.

UMT invites the public to this unmissable musical event to enjoy the band’s mastery and celebrate the arrival of autumn.
