César Berná Poquis, received the Golden Shield of the Torrevejense Choir “Francisco Vallejos”.

The Municipal Theatre, hosted on Saturday night the closing gala of the 35th International Choral Meeting “City of Torrevieja”, with the assistance of the mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolon, the councilman of culture, Antonio Quesada and the councilors of the municipal corporation, Rosa Cañon and Maria Jose Ruiz.
So end three intense days of exciting choral concerts, in which the groups came from different parts of Spain enjoyed Torrevieja, but about the love of choral singing. Last Thursday, September 28, began with the fantastic Opening Gala, with the participation of the Francisco Vallejos Choir and the Vox Musicalis Choir from Totana (Murcia).
On Friday, September 29, the Women’s Chamber Choir Incantus from Valencia and the choir Voces para la Convivencia from Ciempozuelos (Madrid) performed.
And finally, on Saturday, the activity began with the Choral Forum, where the choristers met to share working methods, experiences and repertoires, as well as rehearsing common singing. Late in the evening, the Municipal Theater hosted the incredible Gala de Cluasura, which featured performances by “Enchirandis Grupo Vocal Femenino” from Zaragoza, and finally took the stage “Coro de Cámara Ainur”, both delighted the audience, who dismissed them on their feet, with a magnificent repertoire.
Before the closing of the festival, CésarBerná Poquiswas awarded the Golden Shield of the organization , ,which he received from his son, who is also a member of the choir, for more than 30 years serving and being part of the Francisco Vallejos Choir.
The mayor of the city, Eduardo Dolon, thanked the organizing choir and the participating choirs. Finally, the 35th edition of the International Choral Meeting was closed and the 36th edition of 2024 was called; ending with the joint singing of the six choirs that performed the song “You’ve got a friend” by Carol King, directed by Belén Puente.
