Salomé and the stage presence of Belén Rueda
Last Friday, April 12 at 20:00 hours, the Municipal Theater of Torrevieja presented a new production of Pentación Espectáculo that immersed us in the narrative of the biblical character Salome. Played by Belén Rueda, Salomé emerges as a symbol of female liberation, challenging the stigmas and historical repression that have surrounded female sexuality.
Under the direction of Magüi Mira, the play transported us to centuries past, but with a message that resonates with timeless relevance. It offers a sharp and penetrating look at today’s world by highlighting the relevance of the dilemmas presented in the biblical story, through a fresh and provocative approach.
