José Corbacho is already an icon of show business in Spain. And no wonder. Film, television, theater… nothing escapes this comedian, screenwriter, actor and director from L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. We saw him for the first time in television programs such as La Cosa Nostra or Altra cosa, after training in the renowned theater group “La Cubana”, and since then he has been a magnet for the public.
His naturalness, insight and ability to laugh at everything, starting with himself, is what has made him one of the leading figures on stages and sets. We have been able to enjoy all his wit collaborating in El Club de La Comedia or Buenafuente; directing films such as Universos (2009), or Tapas (2005) and Cobardes (2008) with the renowned Juan Cruz.
Now he presents “Ante todo mucha calma”, a humorous show for which he tells us the following:
So many things are happening that there is nothing left to do but laugh. And that’s why I come here, to laugh about everything. About who we are, where we come from, where we are going. About my family: my wife, my son, my mother, my sister, my brother-in-law, my
friends. And above all from me, that it is essential to laugh at oneself, something I was taught since I started in show business.
And also of my principles. Why not? Above all, of my principles. Because as the master used to say, “if you don’t like them, I have others”. But don’t worry, I will also laugh at you. Those of you who come to see me at the theater. And of those who don’t. Of those even more.
Why? Because.
Because it’s too much to stop laughing. But above all, I want you to laugh. And a lot. Because if you don’t laugh, this won’t be funny at all.
However, a piece of advice for those who come to see me, I am just a
comic, that is to say “First of all, a lot of calm“.
