On Sunday October 8 at 20:30 returns, from the hand of the Orfeón de Torrevieja, his most romantic concert “Love Songs”.
The Bandar Toto Macau Municipal Theater returns, one more year, to receive the Orfeón de Torrevieja with the most romantic concert of 2023, a concert in which we will offer a selection of the best love songs of all time, directed by its owner Mario Ignacio Bustillo. In addition, as in every edition, the Orfeón will have its extraordinary soloists.
The Orfeón de Torrevieja was founded in 2007 and has been directed since then by D. Mario Ignacio Bustillo Martínez. The interpretative spectrum of this great choir covers a wide repertoire that covers different periods, genres and styles within the universal choral and choral symphonic music of several centuries.
Renaissance, baroque, classical, romantic and contemporary music always find a place in the Orfeón’s multiple presentations to the delight of its faithful admirers. Masses, oratorios, cantatas, operas, operettas, zarzuelas and musicals are always present in every performance, together with the delicious habaneras, the artistic identity of our group wherever it goes.
During its long trajectory, of constant and intense work, the Orfeón de Torrevieja, thanks to the dedication and loyalty to the project of its members and a work capacity to all test, has achieved levels of excellence only comparable to that of great choirs of great capitals.
Under the baton of its conductor, Maestro Mario Bustillo, born in Camagüey (Cuba) and based in Torrevieja since 2006, he is an Emeritus Artist of the Russian Federative Republic; he studied Choral Conducting for four years (1975-1979) at the National School of Music of Cubanacán, in Havana (Cuba). Under his direction, all the choral groups of which he has been conductor have received important national and international awards.
Among many other awards, he has received the Prize for Best Conductor and Best Conducting in the IV International Choral Competition “Budapest’97”, winner in the II International Choral Competition “Canto Sul…Garda” and prize in the XLV International Contest of Habaneras and Polyphony.
Once again, as in every “Love Songs”, pieces dedicated to love and romanticism will be performed. Songs that will be able to bring the large audience of the Municipal Theater to its feet. During the concert, themes and works of love will be performed, stimulating feelings in a special way. His concert “Love Songs” will bring to all lovers of good music, great pieces of the international scene and of all times, the best opera Arias, Zarzuelas for all known, Habaneras, pop, musicals…
The interpretation of these songs by the exceptional soloists and vocalists of the Orfeón, who will take these classics of love to a new category, delighting all attendees.
