CRUZ DE NAVAJAS, the latest great Spanish musical based on the music of Mecano, has passed through Torrevieja for four days of successful performances. This show has been very well received by the public, who were full of praise when leaving the theater.
CRUZ DE NAVAJAS is the greatest recognition to one of the most important Spanish groups of our musical heritage, Mecano. It also represents the creation of a new genre of large format and national production, which revolutionizes the concept of musical.
This surprising and groundbreaking audiovisual format recreates the great songs of Mecano, each one of them interpreted with amazing staging, thanks to advanced technology and the most exquisite talent and sensitivity. It also includes great songs by legendary groups and singers such as Queen and Tina Turner.
The producer Gonzalo Pérez Pastorand his production company “VÉRTIGO 360”, together with the executive producer Diego Rodríguez and his production company “LA CHARITO FILMS”, have achieved an original and surprising format at the level of the great international shows.
Since its premiere in March 2020 at the theater “La Rambleta” in Valencia and its presentation in Madrid in May 2021 at the IFEMA venue, CRUZ DE NAVAJAS has passed through different cities, such as Cuenca, Zaragoza and Barcelona (where it has been more than three months), and has already been seen by more than 300,000 spectators, receiving the best reviews in every place where it has been represented.
The show has more than 35 songs, 7 artists with different and great voices, 9 excellent dancers, 6 great musicians, in addition to more than 200 technicians, 100 m2 of LED screens, 40,000w of power, 200 costumes and more than 100 auxiliary people in each area, which gives an idea of the size of the assembly of the work.
