Humor is back with La Revista Cómica de la Sal in Torrevieja

Filled to capacity last night to attend a representation that is becoming a classic Christmas torrevejense, as is the Musical Magazine “La Sal de Torrevieja”, a meritorious effort made by this comparsa to revive a genre that had its main heyday in the sixties,  in which especially in Madrid came to represent up to four of them simultaneously, until the arrival of democracy, having its greatest exponent in Lina Morgan,  that left some essential historical numbers in any representation and we hope and wish that this effort to recover it bears fruit and can share it throughout Spain.

The girls of “La Sal de Torrevieja”, showed last night, once again that they know how to be on stage with the same ease that parade through the streets of Torrevieja, China, France, or Macao. The show was presented by Ade García, who wore a spectacular sequin model made in the workshops of “Blondy Creaciones” and the always elegant in these matters, Francisco Reyes. The staging of the “Revista” was structured in two parts, in which more than thirty “artistaszas”, with the dancer Domingo Sánchez, performed in the first part “La Revista ya está aquí” and the tango “La Revista ya está aquí”. “Milonga”, giving way to the performance of the transformer. YerayYeray, star figure of the famous party hall “El Molino” in Benidorm, who appeared as a man of break and tear, to turn into a spectacular Rocío Jurado, interpreting the song “El Molino”. “I’m sorry my love.”

He followed this first part with a marvelous jazz number, and then performed the famous theme that speaks to us of the carefree in everyday life with “Taking life seriously.” This first part was closed with Vedette de Revista“, a spectacular issue of “Vedette de Revista“. “varietés” and “Mírame”, but not before cracking up with Yeray’s interpretation, “Give me a hand cousin.”

The second part started off with the artistic director of the magazine, the lovely Conchita Mercader Valdés, who reminded us of the comic vedette par excellence, Lina Morgan with “Thank you for coming!”. Then came one of the most emotional moments of the program, with the staging of “Mom I want to be an artist”, a sincere and well done tribute to the unforgettable Concha Velasco.a sincere and well-performed tribute to the unforgettable Concha Velasco, that lifted the audience out of their seats to a standing ovation.  As with everything in life, the revue continued with the following songs “Me gustas mucho”, “¡Caracoles!” and “La Lola” another one of the songs that are always awaited with the desire to see the girls showcasing their art and humor.

Yeray showed us the sad face of the transformer at the moment of taking off his make-up and going back to being the man who goes out in the street and lives anonymously. With the “Lido de Paris”, wanted to pay tribute to one of the theaters known worldwide for its famous magazines, to say goodbye to an audience that did not stop laughing, getting excited and applauding, with “Goodbye, audience Goodbye!”.

The representation was attended by the councilors of the City Council, Concha Sala and María José Ruiz, who praised the staging of this edition, which hopefully will not be the last, of the magazine “La Sal de Torrevieja”.
