On Friday, February 21 at 8:30 p.m., the funny Toni Acosta<\/strong> stars in “Una Madre de Pel\u00edcula” at the Municipal Theater, a comical but touching play that invites us to reflect on motherhood, memories and the small adventures of everyday life.<\/p>\n\n

The piece is about Eva Mar\u00eda, who at the crack of dawn has received an emphatic message from Alejandro, her only and adored son: she must go into her room and look in a locked drawer for a document she urgently needs for the American university where she is studying. Urgent is “now, right now, without losing a moment, Mom”. Alejandro, who knows his mother very well, warns him not to fall into the human (and especially maternal) temptation of rummaging through her things, taking advantage of the wonderful occasion. <\/p>\n\n

Eva Mar\u00eda promises her son to fulfill her mission to the letter, but once she is immersed in the task… who is free of sin? And the fact is that she, who is a film buff, is aware that “Temptation lives upstairs” or at the bottom of her son’s secret drawer. The memory of her life and the vision of that provocative empty nest will make Eva Mar\u00eda slide down an exciting and amusing spiral, transforming her daily reality into a real movie adventure. <\/p>\n\n

Acosta is a wonderful actress, known for her talent in both comedy and drama. We have seen her shine in series such as “Se\u00f1oras del (h)AMPA” and “El s\u00edndrome de Ulises”, as well as in films such as “Poliamor para principiantes” and “Padre no hay m\u00e1s que uno”. Pensioners<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

On Saturday February 22 at 19:00 pm, the Municipal Theater of Torrevieja will host the funny and emotional play “Pensioners”, starring three great women of Spanish show business: Irma Soriano, Loreto Valverde and Rosa Benito<\/strong>. A comedy that, with large doses of humor and realism, puts on stage a story of resilience, friendship and second chances. <\/p>\n\n

The play introduces us to three women who have been widowed because of Covid-19 and who, with scarce economic resources, decide to share a house and join their modest pensions to get ahead. What begins as a forced cohabitation soon becomes an adventure full of entanglements, hilarious situations and endearing moments. Between cell phones, internet and crazy plans, these women will fight to fulfill their dreams and prove that life does not end with retirement, but can offer new opportunities to laugh, enjoy and move forward. <\/p>\n\n

The cast of “Pensionistas” is made up of three actresses with solid careers in the entertainment world. Irma Soriano, charismatic presenter and actress, is remembered for her time on television in highly successful programs. Loreto Valverde, known for her versatility and stage talent, has worked in theater, television and musicals. Rosa Benito, a well-known television personality, brings her freshness and naturalness to the play, winning over the audience with her sympathy and self-confidence. Also on February 22 at 19:00 pm but in the Auditorium of Torrevieja will be the scene of an unforgettable night for lovers of classical music. The Symphony Orchestra of Torrevieja will offer its third concert of the season 2024-25, with the direction of the prestigious maestro Leonardo Martinez as special guest. <\/p>\n\n

The evening’s program will include two gems of the symphonic repertoire: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Symphony No. 35, known as the “Haffner Symphony,” a work full of energy and brilliance, and Anton\u00edn Dvo\u0159\u00e1k’s Symphony No. 8, an emotional and vibrant piece that reflects the composer’s bohemian spirit.<\/p>\n\n

This concert is a unique opportunity to enjoy the talent of one of the most outstanding symphonic ensembles in the region and a guest conductor of great trajectory.<\/p>\n\n
