Great productions such as “Cineman Show” with Dani Diges and the OST, “A tu Lado” with Los Secretos and the Film Symphony Orchestra; along with comedy plays by Paz Padilla, Corbacho and J.J. Vaquero; theater by artists such as Jose Sacrist\u00e1n, Toni Acosta or Mar\u00eda Ad\u00e1nez, and other shows with local talent, make up the program of the January-April 2025 season of Cultura Torrevieja.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The councilman of Culture, Antonio Quesada and the coordinator of culture of the City of Torrevieja, Manuel Esteban Moreno, in collaboration with the team of Culture Torrevieja, presented this morning the Cultural Programming January-April 2025, a wide and varied offer that features concerts, impressive theater pieces, children, comedy, opera, zarzuela and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the year 2024, both the Municipal Theatre and the International Auditorium of Torrevieja have hosted, with more than 200 opening sessions between them, unforgettable stagings that have heard the applause of more than 80,000 attendees. Now, to start the year 2025 in style, more than 40 shows are expected to be an unforgettable experience for Torrevieja. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

January<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cultural program of the next four-month period begins with the always wonderful Epiphany concerts of the Symphony Orchestra of Torrevieja, followed by the premiere, finally, of the piece “Juan Sin Miedo”, the children’s musical about a young man who has never been afraid of anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the month we will also live the Gala of Culture on the 11th and the Gala of Sports on the 19th; followed by the humor monologue of J.J. Vaquero, the concerts of Sette Voci and then Lucia Spain and the musical “Quelis”, inspired by real stories of women in Torrevieja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

February<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first day of February will be presented in the Auditorium of Torrevieja the piece “Cineman Show” with Dani Diges accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of Torrevieja, which promises to be an outstanding event in the music scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

February will continue with the long-awaited Carnival events, such as the Preg\u00f3n, the Gala de Coronaci\u00f3n de los Reyes, the National Drag Queen Contest and the Teatrico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will also have the comedies “Una Madre de Pel\u00edcula” with actress Toni Acosta, with funny situations about the life of a mother of a family and then “Pensionistas”, about three elderly widows who in difficult times continue singing to life and do not give up to get what they most desire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That month will end with the OST’s tribute to Tchaikovsky and Schubert and the grand opera “Il Trovatore”, about love and revenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

March<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third month of the year will feature the children’s shows “Dinosaurs and Princesses”, with characters taken from video games and a reimagined version of the classic “Hansel & Gretel”. Later on, the 4th Congress “Reinventing Education”, the National Contest of Comparsas & Chirigotas, the 30th International Youth Contest of Habaneras and the V National Theater Contest “Ra\u00fal Ferr\u00e1ndez” will be held, which will close with the premiere of the play “La Gram\u00e1tica”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be shows to commemorate the Day of the Working Woman and the International Day of Flamenco, and great musical events by the Film Symphony Orchestra with its show “TARAB”, also “American Music” of the OST and the “Campanya M\u00fasica als Pobles” of the UMT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The long-awaited autobiographical musical “A tu Lado” with the band Los Secretos will premiere, as well as the play “Las que gritan”, about three daughters and a mother who try to laugh at life; and the improvised music sessions in the show “Jamming” will return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The month will end with the Dire Straits tribute concert “Brothers in Band”, and with the great Paz Padilla, presenting her comedy show “El humor de mi vida”, based on her best-selling book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

April<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will begin with the tribute to Queen “Remember”, where spectators will feel like they are at a concert of the legendary English band; it will continue with the piece “The Passion”, where the last hours of Jesus Christ will be narrated, and also with the premiere of the zarzuela “La Tabernera del Puerto”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later that month the iconic Spanish comedian Corbacho will present his show “Ante todo mucha calma”, and we will also have the concerts of the Joven Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de Torrevieja and Shani Ormiston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Season previews<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To give a foretaste of other events coming later in 2025, the following were announced: a tribute to Mecano “Me cuesta tanto olvidarte”, the play “La Colecci\u00f3n” with Jos\u00e9 Sacrist\u00e1n; a musical tribute to Williams, Zimmer and Morricone by the Royal Film Concert Orchestra; and finally a humorous monologue by influencer Galder Varas, the latter two with tickets already on sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a variety of shows that promise to captivate all audiences, Cultura Torrevieja continues to help keep the city as a cultural destination throughout the year.
